Native Perennials

Did you know that many of the perennials we use in our home gardens have come from natives?  When you live in the intermountain, high desert, our strong native perennials flourish  in this challenging climate.  And they are perfect for propagating to become strong perennials for the home garden.  Take a look at my most recent article for Tahoe Quarterly and learn about how our fabulous meadows give us such beautiful sustainable gardens.

To read more about the health benefits of gardening in harsh climates like ours, check out the rest of the story here in my summer feature 2018 in the gorgeous new issue of Tahoe Quarterly.  Here’s the link to read it online here, or better  yet, get your own copy and enjoy ‘The Best of Tahoe’.
